PostSubject: Raid/Instance Rules & REQUIREMENTS   Fri Jun 20, 2008 1:30 pm

General Rules

* Show up, show up on time, show up repaired, show up with your consumables *
* If you are on stand-by for a run, be online & ready to raid *

Attendance: Raiding is not required to be a member of Nemesis. However, if you do desire to raid and have been promoted to raider rank you are required to support the team. Notice is required if you are expected to raid that night but can not be available.

Invites: All raid members are expected to be online 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. If you are not logged on by the raid start time, your raid slot is forfeit unless you have made arrangements ahead of time with the raid/guild leader.

Absences: Regular raid participants should always notify an officer of their planned absence. We completely understand last minute emergencies, but we ask that you make every effort to contact an officer either in-game or through the forum. It is very frustrating for the team and quite honestly just plain rude to keep 9 or 24 people waiting on you. Repeated offensives will not be tolerated.

Preparation: It isn't always gear that accounts for raid performance. Knowledge is the key to power. Know and luv your class. Investigate and experiment with ways to improve your role. Our Raid Leaders work hard at researching and knowing the boss fights to make sure that the raid in its entirity is getting the most out of each attempt, but so can you. Entering battle with at least a rough idea of what will happen and what will be required from you is extremely important. There is a wealth of information available (see the Links post), do your research, use our forums to ask questions and to share the resources you have found.

Consumables: We want to get the most out of our nightly raiding as possible. Therefore, we require all raiders to come prepared with consumables. Flasks are expected for any boss not on farm. Elixirs can be used for farmed raids or in the place of flasks - if using elixirs instead of flasks, use both battle & guardian if a reasonable option exists for both. Food buffs and scrolls are recommended as they are easily acquired and give a nice boost. Potions are expected for all members. A minimum of 15 health / mana pots (for casters) is required.

Raid symbol (lucky charms) designation

Kill order generally follows the order listed unless otherwise directed by instance leader.

Primary pull targets, no CC:
1 - Skull
2 - Cross (X)
3 - Circle

Secondary targets, may be CC'd in some way. Kill order as follows:
4 - Triangle - Sap (rogue) target if required
5 - Square - Trap (hunter) target if required
6 - Star - Shackle (priest) target if required
7 - Diamond - Banish (warlock) target if required
8 - Moon - Polymorph (mage) target if required

Requied In Game Settings

- Make sure you enable "target's target" display.
- For Ulduar, make sure you have 'Projected Textures' enabled in your video settings.

Mods & Addons

Like them or not, mods are a part of raiding. NOTE: If you need to fiddle with these raid mods, Alterac Valley is always good for providing a big, ugly, ill-disciplined raid for testing purposes. pig

Loot Distribution

EPGP Lootmaster: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp_lootmaster.aspx

EPGP Lootmaster provides a GUI for distributing loot and GP to the raid. This mod is a REQUIRED mod for all EPGP dkp looted raid content.

EPGP dkp: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp-dkp-reloaded.aspx

Although installatio of this (the core epgp dkp mod) is not required, it IS highly recommended. It provides a low profile GUI for viewing PR sorted list of members as well as viewing GP values of various gear items in the tooltip.

Voice Communications

Ventrillo: download page: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

Ventrilo is a Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software. It is a stand-alone application that allows users to communicate outside of Warcraft. It is free for non commercial use. And it is REQUIRED to raid with Nemesis. Additional information (instructions for setting up & server info) can be found in the Nemesis Raid Info forum click here.

Required Mods

Omen Threat Meter: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/omen-threat-meter.aspx

Deadly Boss Mods: download page: http://www.deadlybossmods.com/

Group Calendar: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/group-calendar-4.aspx
Used to schedule all guild raids and events. A must have to view and sign up for all events.

Suggested & Recommended (Optional) Mods

oRA2: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/ora2.aspx
Monitor raid members with options on who/what/how to track raid members and their targets.
CT Raid Assist: No longer being maintained, use oRA2.

Recount: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/recount.aspx
Records and displays detailed raid members statistics, e.g. dps, healing, interrupts etc. Valuable post raid analysis tool.

Decursive: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/decursive.aspx
HealBot: download page: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/heal-bot-continued.aspx
For anyone who can - and should be - removing a debuff. While decursive is a standalone mod, you can use healbot for most of the same functions and can be used if already installed.
